Video Wednesday: A Regular Edison

A Regular Edison

Happiness has a
Simplicity of design
A Very small number of
Easily interlocking pieces.
When I am happy
My brain has too
much free time.
My brain is an inventor. A
regular Edison. It
fears the unreality of happiness,
of its place in the universal
scheme of things as the
lynch pin misery is
looking for.
Unable to believe good fortune
is at least in balance with bad.
No. No. No.
Good things come in
small packages but
bad things come in
boxcars. So always in
the smoke filled dark
backroom of my brain
my inventor and I are
on the platform,
waiting for
the train.
